I've been busy busy busy sewing and knitting this week. I got two more unfinished projects done. Two Christmas cushions which I've embroidered using a Jacobean style alphabet. I've done 'Joy' and 'Noel' but would like to do two more before Christmas. I've already programmed them ready to go but they take all afternoon to stitch out. I have to sit close by as there are so many thread changes, plus the minute I'm not looking at the machine it stops, either the thread breaks or the spool runs out or some other malfunction. I think I have a gremlin living inside the machine that watches for me leaving the room then it strikes.  I'll hopefully find some time to stitch out a 'Merry' and a 'Jolly'. I'll get my knitting out and do that whilst I watch my machine work it's magic. I hope you like these two anyway. I'll post photos of the next two if I get them done amidst the Christmas hype and rush.

At last I've completed my heirloom quilt project.
Each block is embroidered with a different design. Also each block showcases a newly learned tecnique such as ...smocking, intarsia and waterfall to mention 3 and before you ask it has cost in excess of £200 to create including classes and materials but not man hours as that would render it priceless.

Wow, what a lot has happened in the last month. I've been mega busy but not enough crafting!!! Although I did have a fabulous weekend of crafting on a retreat in North Yorkshire at an old Manor house that is now a Hotel. My room was none other than the late Duke and Duchess of Rutland's former boudoir. I could've held a ball in that room it was so big. We made loads of Christmassy projects some of which I'll share when I've had chance to catch my breath and upload. For now though I'll share a couple of projects I've been working on at home.

I love the effect of this Christmassy village. It completely changes the mood with different coloured lights. I love this effect with green lights left over from Halloween. It folds completely flat so fits nicely in an envelope for mailing. Fab idea for Christmas cards. Message me if you'd like details on how to order one.

I have also been working on a Christmas Card that lights up too. I can't show the front as I don't want to spoil the surprise should the recipient see this blog.  I love how it's turned out - a lot of work but worth it I think.

I am going to spend the next few weeks trying to complete some of my UFO's. As I get them done I'll post on here for you to see. Currently I'm working on an Heirloom Quilt I've been putting together for over a year now and I think it's time to get it done and finished. Watch this space. hahaha.  Till next time stay calm and keep crafting.
